There are no gifs for what I am feeling, and that is disgust.
Kamala Harris has asked that marriages resume for same sex couples while we await some final results from the Prop 8 fiasco. But the best part of this story is the following:
The president of the Family Research Council, a Washington-based advocacy group that opposes same-sex marriage, said Tuesday it suspected the government was colluding with lawyers in the Proposition 8 case.
Tony Perkins, the group’s president, pointed out that lawyers for the two California couples asked the 9th Circuit to lift its stay just a few hours after U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder announced the administration’s new position on the federal act.
Perkins asked the government to provide records of any contact the Justice Department might have had with the attorneys.
“Even the appearance of collusion between the Department of Justice and litigants is highly damaging to the rule of law in America,” Perkins wrote.
LOL, Tony Perkins!
On Thursday, the Wyoming Senate voted 21-9 to pass a constitutional amendment that bans gay marriage in the state, Senate Joint Resolution 5, according to the Billings Gazette.
The law would be placed on the 2012 ballot if Gov. Matt Mead (R.) signs the bill, which he publicly supports.
The House passed a a similar bill on Monday, which banned civil unions and domestic partnerships, as well as gay marriage.
The Senate bill would allow for the possibility of civil unions or domestic partnerships.
Fuck you, France.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK! I’m trying to express my outrage in words and I just can’t even do it.
Today, the Department of Justice filed a notice of appeal in the case of Gill v. Office of Personnel Management, the challenge brought by Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) to Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act…
As expected, the whitehouse files a last minute appeal to fiercely advocate for opposite-sex marriage.

Barton suggested being gay should be regulated like other unhealthy vices such as alcohol or cigarettes.
“We have a Department of Health and Human Services; we have health care bills; we have health insurance and we’re trying to stop all unhealthy things so we’re going after transfats and we’re going after transparency in labeling to make sure we get all the healthy stuff in there.”
“So if I got to the Centers for Disease Control and I’m concerned about health, I find some interesting stats there and this should tell me something about health.”
“Homosexual/bi-sexual individuals are seven times more likely to contemplate or commit suicide. Oooh, that doesn’t sound very healthy.”
Barton added that gay people are more likely to contract HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and Syphilis.
“I mean, you go through all this stuff, sounds to me like that’s not very healthy,” he said, then asked, “Why don’t we regulate homosexuality?”
“And now here the CDC is saying ‘here’s a really unhealthy lifestyle’ and we’re saying ‘great, let’s promote it in schools and let’s protect it in law.”
I can’t even…
Twin Cities Archbishop John C. Nienstedt, leading a student mass at St. John’s Abbey recently, refused to give communion to members of a gay and lesbian college student group who were wearing rainbow buttons in a sign of solidarity.
The conflict between the archbishop and students from the Roman Catholic St. John’s University and the College of St. Benedict occurred during Sunday night mass in Collegeville, Minn., on Sept. 26.
The action came as Catholics throughout Minnesota have been sent hundreds of thousands of DVDs from the state’s bishops in support of a ban on gay marriage.
During the mass, members of PRiSM (People Representing the Sexual Minority) positioned themselves to be in the line for receiving communion from Nienstedt. Some of them reached out for the communion wafer but were denied it.
